I see SAP logo next to your name and thought you have access to all information / documentation regarding this topic 
To my assessment going through Simplification List there is not a lot from PPDS that is present in PPDS except for Simplified Sourcing. That logic is very much similar to PPDS Standard Lots Heuristic logic to determine source of supply and create PReq / Stock Transfer Reqs and Planned Orders.
